(Joe):
Of Titahi Bay. Passed away peacefully at Wellington Hospital on Sunday 9 October 2022, aged 91 years. Dearly loved husband of the late Margaret. Much loved father and father-in-law of Tom (RIP), Mary and John Morley, Gerard (RIP), and Patricia. Treasured Grandad of Justin and Sabine Morley, Angela and Simon Bell, Samuel and Amy Morley. Loved Great-Grandad of Leo Morley. Will be sadly missed by all his extended family in New Zealand and Ireland.
Eternal rest grant unto Joseph O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. RIP.
Donations, in lieu of flowers, to the St Vincent de Paul Society (Porirua Branch) would be appreciated and may be left at the Mass. A Requiem Mass for Joe will be celebrated in the church of St Pius X, Te Pene Avenue, Titahi Bay, on Saturday 15 October, commencing at 10.00am, thereafter to the Whenua Tapu Cemetery. The Rosary will be recited in the Ninness Funeral Home Chapel, 17 Kenepuru Drive, Porirua, on Friday 14 October, commencing at 6.00pm. To the Whelan family I wish to pass on the condolences of Wellington Irish Society on the passing of Joe. I am the new president of the society and my uncle from Ardara sent me a message about Joe's passing, he knew him from when he played football back in the day. This also comes from him, his name is Packie Keeney. On behalf of us all - Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam (May he Rest In Peace)
