On December 1, 2022; Suddenly at home in Upper Hutt; Aged 70 years. Dearly loved husband of Mary; much loved father of Anne and Francesca; loved son of Patrick & Dorothea and Son-in-law of Alfonso & Milagros; loved brother and brother-in-law of Peter & Sandra, Donna & Dave, Mary & Kuru, Shelly & Ken, Maggie & Chris and the late Jim, Marissa & Dante, Allan & Nimfa and the late Marilou. In lieu of flowers donation to the Wellington Free Ambulance would be appreciated and may be left at the service or via their website https://www.wfa.org.nz/donate/ A Requiem Mass will be celebrated in St Joseph's Catholic Church, 1 Pine Avenue, Upper Hutt on Tuesday December 6 at 1.00pm, followed by interment at Akatarawa Cemetery. I have only known John for the last couple of years through golf at Te Marua. He was very pleasant, and easy to get along with. He slotted into, and became an integral part of our Mashie team. I have fond memories of serving in Singapore with John. He would make a room come alive when he entered. a true gentleman he will be sadly missed.
