John PHILIPSON Obituary

On May 9, 2024, at Bupa Fergusson, Upper Hutt; aged 92 years. Dearly loved husband of the late Rita. Much loved father Kathy & Chris, and their partners Tony and Jason. Proud Granddad of Melissa, Aimee, Brooke, Jack, Tom, and Great-Granddad of Trey, and Max. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cancer Society would be appreciated and can be made online www.cancer.org.nz/donate-now/. Special thanks to Bupa Fergusson for all their wonderful care. A service for John will be held in Kingswood, Cnr King & Cairo Street, Upper Hutt, on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at 2.00pm, followed by burial at Akatarawa Cemetery.

John accepting from Mayor Wayne Guppy, his 75 year long service award from the Brass Band Association of New Zealand, more than 50 of those years as musical director and player and latterly life member of Upper Hutt Brass Band. From all your friends in, and from the Band, Rest in Peace.
