John GALLAGHER Obituary
At home, aged 75 years. Much loved son of Mary and the late Pat; dearly loved brother of George (dec), Lee (dec) & Julie, Ben (dec) & Jo, Jamie (dec), Liz & Pete, and Andy; loving uncle of all his nieces and nephews. John's funeral is open to vaccinated people only and vaccine passes must be shown upon arrival. For those unable to attend, the service will be livestreamed at www.tributes.co.nz. John's funeral service will be held at the Cockburn Street, cnr Cockburn St & Onepu Rd, Kilbirnie, on Monday 28th March at 11.00am, thereafter private cremation.

My condolences to the Gallagher family. John and his siblings were a very important and fun part of my time in Wellington as a member of the Maranui Water Polo Team and Surf Club. They were always encouraging and fun to be around. When the Gallaghers organised a party, be sure to go, it was always a memorable night! Rest in peace, John, your sense of humor will be sorely missed...David Cleverley.

RIP John
As an old friend I wish to record some 52 years of knowing John (and George, Lee & Brendan) through Surf Club & exchange visits between South Brighton & Maranui clubs. John & I may well have been the last remaining bond from that era. I treasure that. Having spent a few days recently with John was most fortuitous and appreciated. His humour & love of fun, socialising, and life was still evident. A sad day for the remaining family, especially his Mother.
My sincere condolences to all touched by this memorable and conservatively jovial man.
