John DUNLOP Obituary
Born 21 April 1924. Passed away peacefully at Wellington Hospital on Sunday 20 January 2019. In his 95th year. Much loved husband of the late Elsa. Cherished father and father-in-law of John & Helen, Dougal & Hazel, the late Bruce & Bronwyn, Robina & Peter Scott. Adored Grandad of Neil, Bryce, Sarah, Erin, Hannah, Livvy, Verity, Campbell, Dale, Ewen, Brodie, Max, Tui & Mani. Beautiful 'GG' to Kayla, Cameron, Siena, Nixon, Rata, Levi, Angus, Taylor, Katie, Elsa and Pikiarero. A good mate to many. Heartfelt thanks to all the caregivers who have looked after John over the last few years. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Wellington Free Ambulance would be much appreciated and can be left at the service. A service to celebrate John's life will be held in Gee & Hickton's Guardian Chapel, 6 Norrie Street, Porirua, on Friday, 25th January at 2.00pm, followed by a private cremation. Messages for the Dunlop family can be sent to PO Box 50514, Porirua.

John was part of Doon Grove for many many years and on his daily walk stopped and talked to most of us every day. John was an amazing person who many of us looked up to for inspiration, energy and determination. Rest in Peace John. You will be sadly missed.
