John COUPE Obituary
Aged 86 years. Mike passed away peacefully after a long battle with Parkinson's. Dearly loved husband of Kay. Former husband of Sally. Treasured father of Patrick (dec), Anna and Rachael. Loved father-in-law of Joanne and Martin, Grandpa to Hayden, Sean, Alexandra, Olivia, Liam, Hunter, Georgia and Angus. Great-grandfather to Louis and Rylee, loved brother of Margaret and Trish (dec), and brother-in-law to Chris. A private memorial and cremation will be held for Mike.

Dear Margaret and family,
Brian rang me to say Michael had died. I remember his wonderful, cheeky smile and wry sense of humour. I thought he was so kind to have come to my mother´s funeral from so far away. Many memories of so long ago in Gisborne and Auckland.

Kay & Family,
It is with sadness we hear the passing of our old neighbour and very good friend Mike the yachtsman.
I will have a wine for you Mike as I remember well the wine we had together when Team New Zealand won the Americas cup in 2017.
Sorry we cant be at your service on Tuesday so farewell and RIP Mike.
