Sorry to hear of John's passing. Fond memories of the Carlyon family as part of my early days in Eltham. John's mum was one of my first teachers.

Condolences, John was such a character to work with when he was Principal of Wairarapa College.

I spent endless hours playing with John on Stanners St. as a school child eeling,& stalking trout to tickle in the stream at the back of the Carlyon section & open fire cooking "Damper" on a stick too. We coached each other for running too etc etc such great memories of John a great friend who introduced me to Billiards in saloon next door too.RIP John.
