So sad to hear of Father Conrad's passing. A much loved cousin who shared his love of learning, teaching and the outdoors with us all. We loved his unexpected visits and treasure that he christened our children. Rest in peace. Much love Gary, Kathy, Matthew, James, Eilis, Tracey and Erin.

Thanks to a great role model, patient teacher and adventurous tramping companion. My association was as a pupil at St Pats Timaru circa 1970 and a tramping trip into the Landsbourough valley about the same time. I recall an outdoor mass celebrated beside one of the few huts in the Landsborough and one of the most extraordinary feats of endurance I have witnessed as Fr Bryant walked for days on feet raw with blisters. A character that will always be in my memory.

I was privileged to minister as a hospital chaplain with Father Conrad in the late 80's early 90's. He was a pleasure to work with, always available when needed but not intrusive or domineering. I have good memories of our working together in National Womens and Green Lane Hospital. Prayerful sympathy to his family. May he be enjoying eternal happiness and praying for us. R.I.P
Conrad was helpful member of the New Zealand Society of Genealogists - European Interest Group. He attended & assisted at our research days, helped with Latin & old German translations & always had a ready smile. With his sister Mary & brother-in-law Noel he helped with our indexing projects
He even visited us at Little River Hotel on his bicycle trip around Banks Peninsula.
Thanks for lots of wonderful memories.
