SPITTAL, Johanna Mary:
Peacefully, surrounded by her family, on 30th May 2023. Aged 71 years. Dearly loved wife of John. Loved mother and mother-in-law of Matthew & Rebecca, Gabrielle & Stefan, and Paul & Jacqui. Loved Granny of Jessica, Lily, Jameson and Abbey. Loved sister of Frances, Henry, Paul and Shelia, and a special Aunty to her many nieces and nephews. Donations, in lieu of flowers, to The Open Home Foundation International www.ohfi.org.nz in memory of Jo would be appreciated. Messages to the Spittal family may be left in Jo's Tribute Book at www.tributes.co.nz or posted c/-4 Moorefield Rd, Johnsonville 6037. Our heartfelt thanks to the Wellington Hospital staff who cared for Jo with love and compassion.
"Jo, you will always be remembered for your amazing spirit, your sense of humour and your love for your family."
Requiem Mass will be celebrated at St Francis of Assisi Parish, Ohariu, Dr Taylor Tce, Johnsonville, at 11.00am on Friday 2nd June 2023, thereafter followed by private cremation. The Rosary will be recited at the above church at 6.00pm on Thursday 1st June 2023.

John and Family, I was very sorry to hear of the passing of Jo such a lovely lady and the both of you loyal customers to Challenge Johnsonville I am sure you will have fond memories of your life together and they will help you all at this very difficult time, my sincere condolences to you all. John, Gabe, Paul, Matt and families. We are so sorry to hear of Jo's passing. I really loved her visits into the Wasabi office as the atmosphere was always made brighter for her visit.
It is a very hard time but cherish the memories which will be many and special.
