THOMSON, Joan Clara (nee Swensson). - On December 14, 2013 at Stokeswood Rest Home, Stokes Valley, at peace now; aged 97 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Scobie. Much loved mother and mother-in-law of Heather & Nick Ursin, Janet & Trevor Coleman and Stephen & Sheila. Much loved Nana of Stephanie and Michael Ursin, Kelly, Angela and Glen Coleman, Jacob & Zachariah Thomson and Great Nana of Ricki, Jimmy, Paige; Rachel and Angus. In lieu of flowers donations to the Cancer Society would be appreciated and may be left at the service or posted to 52 Riddiford Street, Newtown, Wellington 6021. Special thanks to the staff at Stokeswood Hospital for their care. A service for Joan will be held in Cornwall Manor, cnr Knights Road and Cornwall Street, Lower Hutt on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at 2:00pm followed by private cremation.
