My deepest condolences to Joan's whanau at this time. I knew Joan as my Lawyer and man what a lawyer. I often referred to her, to my friends and family as 'A Pitbull in pearls' because she was all that, a beautiful elegant eloquent lady, caring and compassionate but underneath that exterior a pit bull could lay in wait ready to pounce the enemy.
I can never thank you enough Joan for sorting my 'Complicated life' (As you said one day)
Rest easy my precious lady you have so earned your rest.
I'm am currently working in outback Australia, due to return in September so unable to attend Joan's funeral today, my apologies as I would dearly love to be there to say goodbye and share some good stories.
