Jeremy NASH Obituary

NASH, Jeremy Randle:
He is at peace now, so we get to celebrate his long and successful life. He was a loving husband, father, Grandie, uncle, cousin, friend and custodian of Lottie the dog. Many people will recall the gentle way in which he guided those around him. We know he will continue to watch over his family and vast group of varied friends, as he works out various creative ways to let us know he is still there. Through Jeremy's wishes we celebrated his funeral with a private family ceremony. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation being made to Cranford Hospice Hawke's Bay in his name.

I only found out today of Jeremy's passing. He and I were born on the same day, December 8th 1939. Out mothers met in the hospital for our births. Jeremy and I both also bear the loss of our fathers during WWII. We both attended Napier Boys' High. He was a book worm and I was keen on sport. However we retained our friendship and contact over the years. I feel now that I lost a part of me as I saw him in a strange way my "twin". I will always think of Jeremy and my thoughts at this belated time to Sue and family.

I only found out today, 3rd August, that Jeremy has passed away. He may never have realised that, although we were at Napier Boys High together for a short time, and lived in Weir House while at Victoria Uni, I have always had very fond memories of our brief times together, and regarded him as the only friend I had at NBH and Weir; hence my email communications with him over the years. It has shocked me far more than I would have expected and I wish to express my most sincere and heartfelt condolences to Jeremy's family on the passing of one who never let life's trials dim his innate sense of humour.
