Jeanette Margaret Ann WATKINS

Jeanette WATKINS Obituary

Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her beloved family, early on Tuesday morning, August 6, 2024. She has been reunited with her much-loved husband. Jeanette was a cherished mother to Tracy, Richard, and Kirsten, and a devoted mother-in-law to Tanya and Erik. She was a loving grandmother to Rachel and Brendan, Bailey and Dan, and Joshua, and a great-grandmother to Ariana, Amelie, and Sofia. Loved by all, her loss will be deeply felt. A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held on Friday, August 9, 2024, at Whenua Tapu Crematorium at 11.00am.

We met at Feilding Ag High School in 1950. Jeanette and Maxie were the rural bus girls and I was the townie.
We all blended together as great friends and known as the "trio"!
I have wonderful memories of our times together:
A weekend in a pup tent on Foxton beach, dances on Saturday nights in country halls, riding in Noels three wheeler car - which did not have reverse!!
In recent years we have lovely times spent together at Hatape, Lake Taupo relaxing and remembering with John and Ron.
Farewell my friend - rest in peace now

Sincere Sympathy to Jeanette' s family. High School days would not have been the same without Jeanette. Then going by bus to dances In Palmerston North and just occasionally, Jeanette borrowed her brother Noel's car, and off we went amid much laughter.
