I am greatly saddened to learn of Jeanette's death. Spencer and I knew Jeanette as a gracious, intelligent and caring friend. We first met her when we moved to Havelock North and became involved in Viilage Baptist over 20 years ago.

Throughout the years since, we have kept in contact and enjoyed one another's company on many occasions. Even when we moved to Nelson two years ago we have kept in contact .

Rest in peace Jeanette. My love and prayers go out to you, and to all your family.

Marilyn Giffin Stoke, Nelson.

Jeanette has been an example to me of what a servant heart looks like. I think she was happiest when she was serving, family, friends, students, church, her community and abroad. She will be missed.

My condolences to Janettes Family, whom she loved so much. I met Janette back in 2012 on a trip to Tsrael with Christian friends with Israel. She and I were room mates, which was marvellous. She was such a beautiful caring Lady whose passion was her faith in God, which made her shine. She visited me a couple of times when she was on holiday. I will miss her very much. Love and Godbless Kathy Macdonald, Timaru, NZ.

We are very sad about the passing of a beautiful lady. We knew her very well when we lived in Havelock North and were impressed with her quiet most charming manner. Our love to her family at this time. Ruth and JIm Sweatman

A TRIBUTE FROM KATHLEEN BEGGS, GERALDINE
The Beggs family, originally from Winton, Southland, knew Jeanette's parents and family from two years after Jeanette was born. The families became close friends, both having four children, with each successive child of a very similar age. The Beggs and Paterson family had many adventures together. There are many wonderful memories. Reg and Betty, Jeanette's parents, were wonderful people. Jeanette, Elizabeth, Heather and Lex are a very important and fondly remembered part of our childhood and beyond.
Jeanette is my longest-term friend. We were born in the same month. Jeanette said I was her oldest' friend and she and I treasured that. She was always very caring and kind. My Mother and siblings, that had interaction with her in recent years, knew her as a gracious, intelligent and thoughtful lady.
Jeanette dearly loved, and was proud of her 3 sons and families. Her grandchildren brought her much joy. Many a photo she sent, and anecdote was told of her lovely grandchildren.
Jeanette was a faithful friend who I was very privileged to have and will miss greatly. But I look forward to seeing her in heaven some-day as she knew Christ as her personal Saviour. She is now in a place so beautiful and full of Peace and Joy that we could not even imagine how happy she is.
