I am sorry to read of Jean's passing. I first met Jean in the Palmerston Council too. Once she retired, Jean enjoyed sharing garden advice and cuttings with me from her pretty gardens when we lived near her in Waicola drive. We enjoyed a good chat over the fence. particularly regarding developments happening in the neighbourhood. She was a good and kind citizen. RIP Jean.

It was so sad to see Jean not well I was her hairdresser and loved her visits to me .She always was a breath of fresh air and usually dominated the conversations which gave me a break . Always amazing how she knew so much about her car . Her latest arrival at her house was a cat who ruled her life but she loved it .I will miss you Jean It was lovely knowing you. Virginia

A much loved former workmate at PNCC when I was a junior clerk in the Rates Department (in the old council building on the Square's Edge). Jean was a schoolmate of my mother at Aokautere Primary. Jean was a lot of fun, patient, always ready for the daily joke, and perpetually cheery. Her life was well lived but sadly now, after the passing of Zane, Bill and Jean, I am now the only one left of the rates team of '78. I hope there are no mice in heaven Jean and everyone drives a Morrie thou.
