Our thoughts and prayers will be with you Wendy, and Janne's children - Murray, Blair & Andrea - and their spouses and children and grandchild (twelve in all!).
Janne enjoyed visiting us here on Vancouver Island several years ago, so in her honour we will plant a shrub tomorrow. It is an Autumn Sage (Salvia greggii - "Amethyst Lips"). It has beautiful purple and white blooms, and glossy, spicy scented foliage which is seldom browsed by deer and rabbits (we have plenty) and the flowers are attractive to butterflies, hummingbirds, and other pollinators (lots of these too). So we will continue to keep her in our memories.

I will miss Janne a lot - we were close school friends & I was a bridesmaid at her first wedding. Always hept in close touch and the lst time I saw her was in March a week after her birthday when I realised things had taken a turn for the worst. Thank goodness she has not suffered any longer.
Much love and deepest sympathy to all the family.

An email note to me from Diana Dryden (UK)and her daughter Caroline Murdock (also UK) -
Very sad to hear about Janne. She stayed with us on a number of occasions & Caroline also stayed with Janne in NZ. She was a very special person whose gentle kindness will never, ever be forgotten. Please pass on our condolences to her family. How lucky her kids were to have such a fabulous, warm and caring mother.
