Jan WILLIAMS Obituary

Of Waikanae, suddenly on 5th November 2023, aged 66. Dearly loved daughter of Pam and Harry; wife of Peter; sister of David; mother and mother-in-law of Max & Carmen and Jack & Nicole; grandmother of Frank, Elena, Eliot, Vincent and Pamela. Messages to the Williams family may be posted c/- PO Box 723, Paraparaumu or left on Jan's tribute page at www.tributes.co.nz. A video link will also be available on the Tributes page. A service to celebrate Jan's life will be held in the Harbour City Funeral Home Chapel, 300 Kapiti Road, Paraparaumu, on Wednesday 15th November 2023 at 11.00am, thereafter private cremation. Jan was a year ahead of me at NPGHS
... then we were at a teachers´ college together. Later we couldn´t believe that we ended up teaching at the same time at NPGHS ! Jan could always be depended on for a witty comeback or wry observation.
When she went to London ... she taught for a while . Jan sent me a postcard and she scribbled .. "Wild horses will not drag me back into a classroom " I think she was true to her word.
I´ll miss Jan´s droll one liners.xxxx
