Jan (Johnnie):
(Reg. no. 709217) Passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family at Vincentian Home, Berhampore, on Tuesday 19 July 2022, aged 95. Cherished husband of Weronika for 69 years. Much loved father and father-in-law of Teresa, Irena and Geoff, Helena and Gerard, Stan and Lois, Eddie and Debbie. Adored Grandad and Great-Grandad. A celebration of Jan's life will be held at Our Lady's Home of Compassion Chapel, 2 Rhine Street, Island Bay, on Monday 25 July 2022, at 11.00am. Thereafter interment at the Makara Cemetery. Rosary to be prayed prior to the service at 10.30am. In lieu of flowers, donations to Wellington Free Ambulance would be appreciated and may be left at the Chapel.
Funeral arrangements have been made by Larry Greco.

Marvellous memories of Johnny (Mr Szalkowski) taking us on Outdoor Adventures. Camping, fishing and hunting, at Lake Rotoaira and Dick Coleman´s at Raetihi. Johnny and Denis´s Wye streets "working bees" . Johnny was a kind, patience and generous fella. Paul O´Fagan
