THAIN, James David (Dave):
Died peacefully on 21 March 2022, aged 90, at Summerset Rest Home – Napier. Loved husband for 61 years of Shirley, loved and respected father and father-in-law of Carolyn and Tony, Alison and Simon, Iain and Jo. Much treasured and proud grandfather of Kieran, Meredyn, Rory (dec'd), Oscar, Lucy, Rose and Caitcheon. Dave was proud of his Scottish heritage and his service in the New Zealand Defence Force (Army). He had a love of tramping and books and an unnerving ability to find dead-end roads.
