I had the great pleasure of having met jimmy through the police and as he was my boss in the CIB (CIU2) for many years . To my big Bro, We grew up together along with our big sis Viv, we all shared a wonderful childhood thanks to our Parents, we played sports together, surfed together at Foxton beach, there were many happy memories shared, our last talks together I will cherish and will never forget, you will always be in my heart, I have to write my thoughts down for you as I have not been allowed the chance to stand and say them to you at your last farewell.

So very sad to learn of Jimmy's untimely passing. Jimmy was a great wing mate, section mate, CIB and AOS colleague. Jimmy was held in the highest esteem by all those who were fortunate enough to know him. He will be sorely missed. I know that all his Court Astley brothers are grieving, myself included. RIP Jimmy Mac.

Sad news indeed, that such a great guy should have passed. Memories of rugby coaching together and guiding young men along a better road. He touched many hearts and left a mark where ever he went.
