I am so sorry to learn of Jim's passing. I have great memories of working bees at Riverdale kindergarten. Building fences, putting down concrete paths and laying lawns. They were great times.

A lovely send off for Jim. While our paths crossed many years ago while both affiliated with IT organisations (Jim with the Computer Society and WCL and me with TUANZ and both with InternetNZ) what I learned from the funeral was that whatever he did he did with gusto and joy and love.

I was privileged to work with Jim particularly when we prepared IT coverage for the Local Government 1989 reorganisation in documentation to help newly formed authorities cope with disparities systems. We also worked through LACSAG (Local Authorities Computer Services Association Group). We also heard Jim's radio spots explaining IT to listeners. It was a privilege and an honour to know Jim. My condolences to his family.

Judith - our thoughts are with you and the family at this time. We will never forget the kindness and friendship you both extended to us when when we joined the MG car club and through the years since - particularly when I had my accident. We have such fond memories of Jim. Our thoughts are with you - sending you big virtual hugs. Xx

I agree with Gayle.
Jim made it a pleasure to come to work and was always full of energy and everything had a solution and often an outside the square work around. I will always appreciate his friendship and guidance.
Condolences to family. Flights booked to Wellington to be at his funeral.
