I was so devasted to read this news. Ian and Mary were my host parents when I was a Rotary Exchange Student to NZ from the US in the mid-1990s. They were so kind and hospitable and I treasure my memories with them and their family.

It was an absolute shock when I received this news. Mary and Ian were incredibly supportive and generous to my parents. May they rest in peace. A loss to the Taupo community.

Ian and Mary will both be sadly missed. They both contributed a lot to their community (we knew them when they lived in Lower Hutt and were members of Rotary there) - two beautiful people, may they both rest peacefully.

I was so sorry to hear of the sudden loss of Ian and Mary, who have been the most wonderful friends to our family over the years. My thoughts, and those of Pat & Gerry and the rest of the family are with you at this time.
