It is with heartfelt sadness that Ian passed away after a brief illness to cancer. Loved husband of the late Marlene for 41 years. Best father in the world to Cherie and Ngaire. Friend and bar buddy of Paul. Loved and treasured friend of Catherine Glick. Much loved "Monkey Grandad" to Aleishia, Faith, and Samuel and adopted Grandad to Anzac and Shania. A service to celebrate Ian's life will be held at the Funeral Home Chapel, 9-11 Hinemoa Street, Paraparaumu on Thursday 9 July 2015 at 11.00am, to be followed by private cremation. Messages to " The Simpson Family" PO Box 119, Paraparaumu 5254.

With many fond memories of a lovely and always happy person. One of the best train guards we have ever met over the many years travelling on the Kapiti-Wellington line. With our deepest sympathies.
