So sorry to hear about Ian's death. I first met him while I was working at Messines for NZDF. He was a good man and very hardworking. Sending condolences to all the family and friends.

It was a pleasure to meet Ian for the first time in the 80's, a "brother" who became an integral part of our family. Will always treasure the many visits with your lovely family, and your hearty laugh. Love to all the family

Cameron, Kirsten and Families I send you my deepest sympathy at the passing of your Dad, Ian
My memories of him go back to 1976 when Richard Cheevers and myself coached our very first team at Wellington College Old Boys Rugby Club and Ian was in our team.
We had great fun and Ian contributed a lot to the team and was always appreciated by the other team members.
I last caught up with him just a few years ago when I called in to see him at the Retirement Village. We chatted for about three quarters of an hour and whilst he struggled with a lot of memories others that he did remember we laughed a lot
He will be sadly missed and unfotunately now that I live in Auckland I will be unable to attend his farewell
Thinking of you
