MACKLEY, Ian Chappell QSM:
206355, Sgt, K Force, 162 Battery, Official Photographer. On 24 April 2016 at Fergusson Rest Home, Upper Hutt, aged 87 years. Dearly loved husband of Averil, much loved Dad of Jayne (dec) and Don & Penney. Adored Grandpa of Gareth (dec), Lizzie, Phil and Steph. Special thanks to the staff at Fergusson for the wonderful care given to Ian. A service for Ian will be held in Cornwall Manor, cnr Knights Road and Cornwall Street, Lower Hutt on Thursday, 28 April 2016 at 2.00pm followed by private cremation.

Dear Averil,Don,Penny,and Ian's grandchildren.We are all so very sad to learn of Ian's passing. We will always remember the lovely man he was and the great times we had as a family with Ian. Like many, we have a vault full of happy memories made possible by Ian through his talented use of the camera. We will be thinking of you all today at 2pm.Lots of love to you all. Deepest condolences to the Mackley family on the loss of a really good bloke. Ian was a most cheerful individual who represented his country well both as a soldier in the Korean war and later when he returned to Korea as a veteran. I remember him as a warm and a modest person who was impossible not to like.
