Hilary FERNANDES Obituary

On Sunday 24th September 2023 died peacefully in his sleep after a long illness, aged 88. Beloved husband of Iris. Dearly loved father of Heather, Neil, the late Paul and JoAnn. Father-in-law of Mariska and Sascha. Much loved Grandfather of Oscar, LilaRose, and Silas. Loved brother and uncle to the Fernandes family around the world. The Fernandes family are very grateful for the compassionate care Hilary received from the staff at the Hutt Hospital, Riverleigh Residential Care, and Aroha Care Centre for the Elderly. In lieu of flowers donations to the NZ Cancer Society, in Hilary's name, would be appreciated. https://www.cancer.org.nz/donate-now/ Hilary's funeral mass will be celebrated at Ss Peter & Paul's Church, 60 Knights Road, Lower Hutt, on Wednesday 4th October 2023 at 12.10pm, thereafter interment at Taita Cemetery. The rosary will be recited in the above church on Tuesday evening at 7.00pm.
