Herman Young Jr. Obituary

YOUNG, Herman D., Jr. - age 74, of Fenton, died Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at Genesys Health Park. Services will be held 3 PM Friday, March 14, 2008 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton with Rev. Fr. David W. Harvey officiating. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Fenton. Visitation will be held 2-8 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Alzheimer's Association. Herman was born September 13, 1933 in Flint, the son of Herman and Elizabeth (Noble) Young, Sr. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and retired from General Motors in 1984 after 35 years of service. Surviving are: eight children, Ronald Maksymowski and his children, Ronnie and Kylie, Robert Maksymowski and wife, Cindy and their children, Bobby and Matt, Richard Maksymowski, all of Fenton, Christopher Young, Susan Swift of Flint, Randy Maksymowski and wife, Kelli of AZ, Joseph Young and wife, Amy and their children, Katie, Megan and Allyson of FL, Herman Young III of Fenton; sister, Betty Wiesen-Hockey of Fenton; sister-in-law, Barbara McIntosh. He was preceded in death by: his parents; wife, Kathleen; son, Matthew and brother, Bill McIntosh.
