Hello grandad,

It's me, your granddaughter courtney. I know you are watching over me as I write this. This is very hard and emotional for me to write this. I am still in shock that you are gone. I keep thinking I will be able to see you once again. While you were in hospital I kept praying that you would make it through because you are a strong and quite stubborn person. I even prayed that I would sacrifice my own body to make your body better again. I know you held on to your life with dare life. I know that you didnt want to go.

You really did have a good life grandad and I'm so grateful that I was apart of it we have had many happy memories that I will never forget I will always remember the happy times we always shared.

I love you so much grandad and I wish you were here.

Also I will make sure to ring nana and write to her often and I will look after and take care of mum for you. We all miss you very dearly grandad it wont be the same without you xxx

Dad this is the hardest thing that I have had to do say goodbye to you.

I thank you for being my dad you where the best anyone could of had.

I promised you that I would stay by your side and I did to the very end. You gave it a good fight but unfortunately the angels had other plans for you.

You kept on asking me was I going to be alright and I kept on saying no im not alright. When I finally said I would be alright you said you were done and the angels took you on a flight.

Im so glad I got to spend your final hours with you this is a memory that I will always have and I thank you for that.
