Helen O'HARA Obituary
O'HARA, Helen May. - Helen passed away on February 6th 2013 after a long illness. She is sorely missed by Peter, her husband of 54 wonderful years and by her children and their spouses Mike and Evelyn, Chris and Rae and Lesley and Malcolm Roy. She adored her grandchildren Michael, Robbie, Matthew and Samantha and they loved her. The family thanks the staff of the Medical 1 Ward of Hutt Hospital, Te Omanga Hospice and the Wellington Free Ambulance for their care of Helen during her illness. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Te Omanga Hospice or Wellington Free Ambulance and these donations may be left at the service. A service to celebrate Helen's life will be held in Kingswood, Corner of King and Cairo Streets, Upper Hutt on Monday February 11, 2013 at 2:00pm followed by private cremation. Lesley, and family.
I havent seen you in years Lesley, and only just reconnected thru fb.
My condolences to you and your family.
I met your Mum thru tennis (a very narly player in her later years too i might add)
Helen was a great cook.
Going to the UH tennis club for interclub and lunch after - I always hoped she was playing - It wasnt about the tennis it was all about the "SOUP"!
She gave me her recipe a couple of times - bless her!
RIP Helen - a gem!
