Heather was always upbeat and fun to talk to.
I still miss her emails very much.

There must be many people feeling very sad, (as I am), at the news of the death of Heather. I first met her when I visited her in Hospital shortly after the birth of her first son, Colin. Richard was a colleague of my husband and I felt I should visit her. She can't have been pleased at the visit of a stranger at such a time, but rallied and coped with the situation with her usual good humour and quirky wit. I liked her immediately. She was a very creative artist and writer. I have looked forward each year to her humorous and informative letters. I will miss these very much. I can't believe she is no longer at the other end of my emails. I am sure she is in the ether somewhere making pithy and ironic comments about our activities. I feel privileged to have known her.
