Gus PORTENERS Obituary
Our dearly beloved father and Opa passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Mary Potter Hospice on Saturday January 28, 2017. Beloved husband of the late Patricia. Deeply loved father and father-in-law of Karin & Robert, Helen & Rodney, Chris & Anne, Jill, Cynthia. Wonderful Opa to Stephen, Michael, Vicky, Joel, Monique, Christina, Johanna, Liam and Genevieve. Loving Great Opa to his 16 great-grandchildren, treasured brother to Andre and brother-in-law to Liz (Libby). In lieu of flowers donations for either St Vincent de Paul, Plimmerton, or the Mary Potter Hospice would be appreciated and may be left at the Mass. Tributes to Gus can be left on www.tributes.co.nz or posted to PO Box 50-347, Porirua 5240. A Vigil to share memories and stories of Gus will be held at St Theresa's Church, James Street, Plimmerton on Friday February 3, at 7pm. A Requiem Mass will be celebrated in the same Church on Saturday February 4, at 11:00am. The family welcomes everyone to share in light refreshments following the Mass.

You will never be forgotten a true and honest gentleman that I never saw angry only happy and always smiling. You are now safe in the arms of Our Lord with your beloved Patrica and all family that have gone before you. Thank you for being a part of our lives and always remembering Bartholomew.
