Dear Grant
From a young age I looked up to you. I loved your fabulous taste in cars (and women) and it was always a treat when you came to town. As I grew up, you were always a great sounding board and I will miss our chats.
Rest in peace Grant. My heartfelt thoughts are with your beloved children, and through them you live.

One of life's true gentlemen, we enjoyed Grant's friendship and hospitality on a number of occasions and really enjoyed his company. There is no doubt he leaves an amazing legacy and touched many peoples' lives in such a positive way. Fly high and rest in peace Grant.

Hey Grant, hope you run into a Darcy's upstairs. Hope they have Carpaccio and your favourite pasta on the menu. You might run into Paul Neil and Dunbar Sloane, I'm sure they'd enjoy a drink with you and say hi to the boys for me.
We had some great times together and I'm missing you already mate.
By the way, you still owe me lunch at the Boulcott Bistro!
From your old mate, Don.

Grant, you touched many of us. I have fond memories from Whanganui Collegiate days, you picking Nina up from Godwin in the Porsche, trips out at school and of course more recently you making it all possible for Nina to make our wedding day. We loved having you attend the day after our wedding, your kindness and generosity, always at the forefront. Your legacy will live on through your four beautiful children, and grandchildren, they are such a credit to you. All of our love to you all during this very sad time. Kate Xxxx

Grant, you will always be in our hearts and memories. I remember meeting you at Constantine's salon, 25 years ago, chatting as we swivelled our chairs. I'll always be grateful for your kindness and generosity, taking me to concerts and art shows, or just companionship over a bottle of beautiful wine. A lovely friend who was so proud of his children. Sadly missed xx

Learning of your illness and now passing is heartbreaking. From the very beginning, you were so generous and kind, particularly taking Nina and us girls out to dinner from secondary school in NZ until recently in Melbourne (almost 18 years later?!) You always showed an interest in what we were doing and were very patient with us!
You have left behind 4 amazing children (their partners and grandkids) and I know you would be so proud of them all.
Sending all my love to Nina, the boys, family and friends

I am deeply saddened to hear of Grant's passing. We met at Polytech in 1970 and we remained friends ever since. We always got on so well together and we had lots of laughs. Whenever we met in the street we always had a good chat and always both said we need to catch up for coffee but rarely did due to busy lives. I will miss him very much.

A time of great sadness for Grant's children, extended family and close friends.
A very productive and varied life taken far too soon.
The testimony is seen in his many friendships and associations, and his contribution to all our lives and happiness.
Our college group friendship as wide and varied as it is, has lasted 55 years.
We could all hold the floor for quite a while with fun and adventures shared with Grant through our teenage years until now.
Our annual reunions and catch ups will never be quite the same.

Remembering all the times we spent together in your childhood - you kids playing with our kids at the beach in Kpiti- with Reid joining in from his Jolly Jumper :-). We treasure those times and our close friendship with your Mum and Dad. Grant and Jon of course played together as well as children! And your Dad always kept in touch. A wonderful, wonderful person has left us too early, but will never be forgotten. Aroha to you all from one of the Tawa College crowd :-).

My memories take me back to when, as a 17 year old he put me up while studying in Wellington and taught me how to live life away from home ..... (Grant taught me some great tricks I never forget.... ha) Forever supportive and generous, humble, clever and funny and everything else that is good. Grant was this and much, much more. I am sad not to have seen him these past years while we live overseas. He will be missed by all. My condolences to Nina, Reid, Elliot and Lee.

Was sad to hear of uncle Grant's passing. Sending much love to my cousins, Elliot, Lee, Nina, and Reid and their families at this sad time. Even though it's been a few years since we saw you all, I know your dad was always immensely proud of and devoted to you all, and I know he will remain a big presence in your lives even in passing. ❤

Grant, you have been taken far too soon for so many, but your memory will no doubt live on with so many of us forever. An unwavering support for me at every minor and significant moment in my life. I couldn’t have asked for a better Dad in life. He was fiercely protective, reliable, smart, creative, loving and generous. Until we meet again, I’ll carry him in my heart and be forever proud to call him my Dad.
