Gottfried POSSEGGER Obituary

On 27 April 2024 at 10.25am at Bupa Rest Home, Whitby. Much loved father to Peter, Mark and Michael. Wonderful caring father-in-law to Joanne and Louise. Amazing, fun grandfather (Opa) to Fred, Martha, Anton, Anja and Matthew. Bereaved widower of Lisl. A fun loving, caring, quiet family man who was a big part of the Austrian community. He came to NZ to paint state houses in 1956 and created community wide ties which remain today with P&Z Decorating Ltd (Porirua Resene).

"We will miss you forever"

A quiet family funeral will be held as he wished. Donations to Wellington Free Ambulance would be appreciated. Many thanks to the team at the Totara Wing at Bupa Whitby for their wonderful care.

So sorry to come across Gottfried's death notice today. He was a much admired painter to Brian Mason, late Builder of Wellington , who has also passed away and Brian always spoke so highly of Gottfried. my late memory of him was when he was staying with friends several years ago in Taupo where we retired to and it was wonderful to catch up with him. with love,
Dianne Mason( now of Lower Hutt)
