CHAPPLE, Gordon Rae:
Beloved husband of Michael Gibbs; son of Roger and the late Janice Chapple; son-in-law of Ted and Penny Gibbs; brother and brother-in-law of Bryan and Rowena, Althea and Steve, Tania, Sarah and Perry, Rebecca and Shannon, and Gerald. Much loved uncle of Louisa, Harry, the late Finn, Thomas, Charlie, Michael, Leo and Hugo. Loved by Geraldine Straker and Paul Beadle, and Philip Straker. Treasured friend of many in Aotearoa and around the world. Passed peacefully after a brief illness in Auckland Hospital. A service in celebration of his life will be held at 3.00pm on Friday 3 June in the Norwood Room, Basin Reserve, Wellington. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Mental Health Foundation please.
