Our beautiful Jean left us on Monday 11th July 2022. Much loved wife of Joseph George. Adored mother and mother-in-law of Mary and Bill, David, Peter (deceased) and Maria, Michael, Patrick and Masako, Catherine and Geoff, Angela and Ben, Anne, Rosemarie and Justin, Daniel and Kate, Gerard and Jessica, Paula, and Bernadette. Cherished nonna of thirty-two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A gentle and generous soul who always put others first. In lieu of flowers, donations to Mary Potter Hospice would be appreciated. Messages to the 'Scanlon family' may be left in Jean's tribute book at www.tributes.co.nz or posted C/- PO Box 14-366, Kilbirnie 6241. The Rosary will be recited at St Mary of the Angels Catholic Church, Boulcott Street on Thursday 14th July at 7.00pm. Requiem Mass will be celebrated at St Mary of the Angels on Friday 15th July at 12.00pm.
