SLATER, George:
On March 10th 2021 peacefully in Wellington. In his 99th year. Son of the late Jessie and William Slater of Portknockie, Scotland. Will be sadly missed by his family and many friends. A service will be held at the Mana Cruising Club, 5 Pascoe Ave, Paremata, Porirua, on Tuesday, March 16th at 1.00pm, followed by burial.

I first met George in 1968 on my first trip to NZ but I never forgot his humble, quiet spirit. I met him at least once since and he remained the same humble man who encouraged so many. So thankful for his life spent so profitably in God's kingdom.
