Gabrielle MCLAUCHLAN Obituary
Passed away on 19th November 2021, aged 69. Dearly loved daughter of the late Kate and Arch McLauchlan, loved sister and sister-in-law of Peter & Margaret, Catherine, Bruce & Anita, David & Pauline, Ellen & Jamie McDowell, Frances & John Simeon, Ian & Lynette, Mark & Julia, and adored Aunty Gabs to her many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Dr Ciandra Keenan and Dr Murray Leikis, Renal Physician, for their amazing care of Gabrielle over a number of years. In lieu of flowers, donations to Kidney Health NZ would be appreciated and made online at www.kidney.health.nz/Donation/. Messages to the McLauchlan family may be left in Gabrielle's tribute book at www.tributes.co.nz or posted c/- PO Box 14-366, Kilbirnie, Wellington 6241. A celebration of Gabrielle's life will be held at St Patrick's Catholic Church, Childers Crescent, Kilbirnie, Wellington on Saturday 27th November 2021 at 11.00am, thereafter a private cremation. The funeral is invitation only. However, if you would like to attend Gabrielle's service, please contact a member of the family. Extending my deepest sympathy to all the family.Gabrielle had an amazing career and was also a prominent sports person.It's been a privilege to know Gabrielle and her family who have all left an indelible mark on the business,sporting and Church community in Petone and beyond.

Dear McLauchlan families, dear cousins.
We are so saddened to hear of Gabrielle's death. We have wonderful memories of Gabrielle in Belgium when we met for lunch, as you do, one day on a March school trip in Brussels, and then years later staying with Gabrielle in Antwerp in July 2008 when visiting Vimy Ridge and Doreen's uncle's grave outside Antwerp. She was a generous host to us at her home in Wgtn. We would love to be with you at this time. Nevertheless the family remain in our prayer and we send our love across the miles. Eternal rest grant to Gabrielle O Lord and may perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace.
