Of Paekakariki, formerly of Wellington. Psychologist and Criminologist, Pioneer of Youth Justice and Restorative Justice research. Peacefully on Thursday 8 September 2022. Aged 85 years. Dearly loved wife of David. Loved mother of Ragne, Thane, Keir and all their family. A private service for Gay has taken place.

I am so sorry to hear of Gabrielle's recent passing. She was an inspiration to me in so many ways and my supervisor for my PhD. I hunted her down from South Africa. But I remember her as a friend. I am so sad I hadn't seen her more recently, but she has been on my mind lately. Thus news brings much sorrow but adorned in happy memories. Sending love to her family. Thank you for everything. Rest in peace.x
