Franziska:
Died peacefully on Sunday 14th May 2023, aged 88 years. Much loved wife of David Sparkes, mother of Michael, Christian and Peter, Franny to Dave. Loved Nanny Franny Oma to Lily, Emily, Joshua, Scarlett, Stefan, Sascha, Florian, Willow, Eve, Fern and Otto. Great-Nanny Franny to Asher and Willa. Preceded in death by her first husband, John Leonard Ashby. A service for Franziska will be held at the Kapiti Coast Funeral Home Chapel, 9-11 Hinemoa Street, on Saturday 27th May at 10.30am, followed by a private cremation.

Our love and thoughts are with all the Sparks-Ashby families, friends and Carlisle Street neighbors.
We have fond memories of Franziska calling out to her beautiful boys, Michael, Christian and Peter to "come home" after realising they had climbed out of the bedroom window to come over to our shed to play pool & darts with Tony, Betty & Liz.
Franziska also made a great cake which we were happy to share.
