Eve VAN BOHEMEN Obituary

van BOHEMEN, Eve:

On 12 June 2022 Eve, aged 96, died peacefully at Bramlee House, at the Mary Doyle Village in Havelock North. Eve was born in Scotland in 1926. She came to New Zealand in 1950 where she met and married her beloved husband Jack, who died on 20 August 2021. They were married for sixty-nine years. She was a most loved mother and mother-in-law of Rina and Gerald, Gerard and Barbara, Stephen and Andrea, John and Sarah, and Christina and Aaron. She was also the proud and most loved Oma of Olivia, Juliet, Rosamond, and Charlie, Samuel and Joseph, Hugo, Clare and Sophie, and James, Tom, Matthew and William, and great-Oma to Beatrix, Paloma, Maude, Joseph, Juno, and Raphael. We shall miss her. We are very grateful for the love and kindness of Eve's carers at Bramlee House. A Requiem Mass will be held for Eve at 11:30 am on Saturday, 20 August 2022, the anniversary of our father's death, at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Te Mata Road, Havelock North.

I remember your mother well .With friends Pete MacRae and Simon Olgivie I arrived in around November 1972 in Hastings to work for Watties on the pea harvest .Accommodation was very difficult to find and your mother kindly found us a place in Davis road with Gary and Fien Faesen { please excuse spelling ].
We stayed in there old house where Gary stored tomato boxes . We were very happy there at $10 a week each .

I remember your mother as gentle and kind .She proved to be a great help to us .

Kind Regards John Cahill .
