Liz,
It's hard to imagine that you are no longer here with us. It doesn't feel right or real and I will really miss having you in my life. You were such an amazing person. I know you wouldn't want to put yourself on a pedestal but today as we send you off it is clearly obvious I'm not the only one that thinks that.

I will always remember you for your yummy baking like cream puffs and mars bar slice, teaching me how to wallpaper and paint the house, tuppaware containers and that noisy knitting machine, always in the garden using cuttings and plants on special, the cheery voice on the end of the phone, being the first person to ring me on my birthday and OMG the Xmas decorations! I remember helping you set up trees for that first Xmas in Korokoro and look how that panned out?

I know Mike, Bruce and the girls will be lost without you. You are their rock. I hope you will stay close to their hearts and guide them through the next chapter of their lives without you. No pressure.

It gives me comfort knowing that you didn't have to suffer an illness late in life and that now you can be with Angie (and the boys).

Forever in my thoughts
Bec xx

Dear Mike and family,

I am really sorry to hear of Liz's passing. She was such a lovely and kind person.
I knew Liz through OES and enjoyed meeting up with her each month.
I am very grateful that Liz reached out to me only a few weeks back to catch up before I returned to work from my parental leave. She was so excited to see baby Freya.

Liz will be very much missed by all that knew her.

I was so very very sad to hear of Liz's passing. She was a dedicated member of the Cervical Screening team here at the Hutt Hospital for many years and fondly remembered. Sending heartfelt condolences and prayers to Mike and family.

Dearest Liz, you were one of a kind - gentle, caring, giving, generous, thoughtful and so much more. You gave so much and never expected anything in return. One of life's gentle people that got happiness from giving to others. You truly made this earth a better and caring one. Be with your baby now.
