Elaine Sharman took me through my diploma piano exam in 2011 and I had the pleasure of working for her at CHIMES music for several years after that. She had such a wealth of information and taught me so much. I am sorry to hear of her passing. She was a beautiful, generous woman. May she rest in peace.

Condolences to the family. I was taught piano by Mrs Sharman from the time I was 8. My love for the piano continues now at 42. My eldest son was also taught by her. Thank you for opening your home and teaching so many of us and nurturing a life long love of music. Rest in peace.

Cousin Elaine was one of the few truly musical members of our families. Of equal fond memory was her kindness and cheerfulness. May she rest in peace.

So sorry to hear of Mrs Sharmans passing. Thoughts with all the family. She taught me piano all through high school and started my passion for music. I am now 40, a school teacher and still play piano in a staff band.

There are no words for how much you changed my life. From my first lessons aged 6 to now. My love affair with the piano and with music is because of the way you taught. You still influence my life 35 years later, your teachings follow me whether I'm practicing or preparing to perform. Thank you for your love, encouragement and for teaching me to love the piano and encouraging me to share that love with others. Your teaching gave my life more meaning that you can ever know.

Dear Elaine, words cannot express how influential you have been in the lives of so many. Thank you for your teaching and mentoring throughout my life and the lives of many in my family. I was not yet ready for you to go, and wish I could talk with you again and get more of your wise advice. I hope I can carry forward even a small part of your legacy!
