To you dear David and your family I offer you my heartfelt condolences. Eileen was truly a great and beautiful woman. Her faith was so strong and inspiring. I can't think how much you will miss her but be comforted to know she lived a life of loving service and her heavenly reward is great.
Charm is deceitful, beauty is vain but the woman who fears the Lord shall be praised. Proverbs 31

To David and family,

It is now many years since we have seen yourself and the family, but we both can still vividly recall meeting Eileen, yourself, and your family for the first time after Mass at Sacred Heart Church Hill Street. We had just shifted back into Wellington and Eileen took it upon herself to personally welcome us into your home and the Parish community.

Her warmth, enthusiasm, love, and generosity, have contributed to us having a constant reminder over the years of the good times we had raising a young family in an inner city Parish.

We extend to you and your family our sincere sympathy upon the loss of such a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Dear David & Family
sorry to hear of the loss of Eileen. David and I met Eileen through the prayer group many many years ago. She certainly lived a good life which had a great affect on all those around her. I know you will all miss her dearly but be assured she is now at peace with her God. Our sympathies with you all.

David and family, what is there to say when a much loved wife, mother and grandmother and friend to so many has departed this life for her eternal home. We are sad however Eileen lived her faith and it shone from her very being. I thank God for meeting up with Eileen again a few months ago after so many years and the memories shared then I cherish now. Go in God's grace and love all of you.

Dear David and family,
I would like to tell you how saddened and shocked I was to hear that my dearest cousin had passed away. It doesn't seem so long ago that we had the pleasure of seeing you both in Hamilton for a few short hours. We go back a long way obviously, and I have good memories of some of the times in Lower Hutt with Eileen and Gloria (whom I also miss very much). Please pass on my condolences to Keith, Colin, Gary, and Anne as I don't know their contact details.
Rest in peace Eileen

Sad to hear of the loss of a wonderful, loving matriarch. Her family are in our prayers tonight. Much love to Uncle David especially.

Ah, Eileen, God bless you and have mercy on you and welcome you to Heaven.
It seems like an eternity ago now when I and a few others gathered to welcome and agitate for generous acceptance of Indo-China refugees.
We had an initial public meeting in St Francis Hall, Thorndon, chaired by Ian Johnson and addressed by Hugo Manson and others.
Eileen helped organise and publicise that well-attended meeting, for which her husband, David, arranged the sound system.
Eileen remained a staunch supporter of refugees from Indo-China, while being otherwise engaged in evangelisation for the Catholic faith.
My family moved away to Hawke's Bay, and contact with Eileen was lost.
But my memory is full of warmth for this lovely lady.
Sincere sympathies to her family.
