Edwin Raymond (Ray):
Passed away peacefully on 1st June 2023, aged 90. Much loved husband of Patricia. Loving and fun Dad of Paul & Katrina, Kath & Brent, Maria & Neil, Richard, Helen & Steve, Rachael & Nick. Adored Grandad of Christina & Jono, Michael & Mark, Max & Tom, and Isaac & Aiden. A service for Ray will be held at St Mary's Church, Otaki, at 11.00am on Wednesday 7th June 2023, followed by private cremation. Any messages to the Whittle Family, C/o I C Mark, 547 Queen Street East, Levin.

Dear Pat, Paul and all
I am so saddened to hear of Ray's passing. Brings back so many memories of so many years ago. You guys visiting us at Plimmerton and us you in Tawa. Of course I then worked with Ray at the NZ Racing Conference where Ray was one of the doyens of the office (Younger then than I am now). Beers at the Midland Hotel before catching the train. Formguides and study of every racemeeting going and the guru of everything to do with license holders in NZ. Vividly remember him trying to get Merv to leave Mum's wake at Jonty's house, seems like yesterday but 10 years ago. On behalf of the Mills clan our thoughts are with you all. Tim.

Saddened to just hear of Ray's passing. He was a stalwart of the NZ Racing Conference/Thoroughbred Racing and much respected by his fellow workers. Also jolly good fun at the Xmas parties.
