I read of your story on Stuff & wanted to send my condolences too. I am a kiwi too, but currently based in AU. When the pandemic struck, I was trapped in Dominican Rep. I had actually been planning to go to Peru this year too. I could not leave DR until late June. Latin America is a great area but very chaotic too. May your son RIP.

Edward and I lived in the same building in Welly, and for a short while we were next-door neighbors. I last saw him when I was moving out of the building last November. He is such a good person and always approachable. Sincere condolences to you and your family.

My sincere condolences. I had the greatest opportunity of working with Ed at Open Telecommunications and I got to know the kind, intelligent, witty, giving and caring person that was Ed. He made the most amazing cards for my children and I'm sure I have one still with his signature "Ed." on it. He learnt shorthand to play a trick on me - one of the many he did. A beautiful man and a beautiful soul. So sad to hear this news. I know he will be missed greatly by your family but his memories and love will be with you always.

I was at King's in the same year as Ed. He was a popular choice for Head Boy and always a strong contender for World's Nicest Guy. Although we moved in different circles he always had time to stop and say "Hi". My condolences to his family for this terrible loss.
