Duncan LAIRD Obituary
29.03.1938 – 30.08.2023 Passed away peacefully at home with family. Treasured husband of Barb and loved father and father-in-law and special Dad of Fiona & Ross, Hamish & Nicola, Geordie & Jo, Dougal, Gus & Lynly, Craig, and Sue & Chris. Caring grandfather to his 14 grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Cherished brother to Janet, Heather and Ann and the late Ian. Farewell to our Jack of All Trades. A private cremation has been held. A Memorial Service will be held at 2.00pm on Saturday, 9 September 2023, at the Taupo Womens Club, Story Place, Taupo. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lake Taupo Hospice and may be left at the service.

Deepest sympathies to you all, Duncan was a good man, always treated me well even as an annoying child with loads of questions (which he usually knew the answer to). I cherish the memories of time spent at the Campbell road farm.

My condolences to all the Laird family.Duncan and I were in YFC,drama , I think school committee, did the odd days shearing together,socialised,like we all did in the good old Brunswick days.Duncan in my opinion was a good living person and can be rest assured he'll sorely missed.
