On 13 May 2021, aged 95 years, at Huntleigh Home, Karori. Loved wife of the late Ronald; mother of Jane and Jo; mother-in-law of Mark and Pete; grandmother of Matthew and Anne, Alex and George, Urs, Anna and Al, Owen and Alana, Huw and Ruzica, William and Molly, Davey and Amy, Leo, Pip and Troy, Octavia and Hugo, and Laura; great-grandmother of Izaak, Isabella, Ella, Jessie, Holly, Lily, Jacob, Violet, Canadian Arthur, Maddie, Arthur, Louis, Ruby, Robin, River, Esme, Ivan, Shea, Pero, Finn, Kata, and Oscar. A funeral service will be held at Lychgate Funeral Home, cnr Willis and Aro Streets, Wellington, at 1.00pm on Wednesday 19 May 2021, followed by a private cremation. All welcome.

Ron and Dot were my parents greatest friends before they moved to NZ from Belsize Park in London, in 1955. My wife and I are here at Bronte on holiday and would love to meet the family. My mother´s name was Joy Hunter and she and Dot wrote to each other frequently for over 70 years.

Dot was good friends with my mother, Ann Kemble Welch. I spent time with her when I visited Nelson and enjoyed stimulating conversations about all sorts of things. I'm sorry to have lost touch after my mother died, but have warm memories of Dot - and of Ron too from earlier times.
