Donald John (Don):
Passed away peacefully at Hastings Hospital, on 29th December 2020, aged 85 years, with Ruth and family at his bedside. Cherished husband and best friend of Ruth for 61 years. Loved and loving father of his children and their partners, Fiona and John, Peter and Nicki, Kathryn and Kevin, Alison and Gordon. Loved grandfather of his 11 grandchildren and 4 1/2 great-grandchildren. Loved brother of Kenneth.
A true gentleman,
loved and respected by all who knew him.
Many thanks to the Coronary Care Ward at Hastings Hospital for their kind and gentle care. A private family farewell was held on 31st December. A memorial service celebrating Don's life will be held at 11.00am, on Monday 25th January 2021, in the Dunstall Memorial Chapel, Edwardes Street, Napier. In lieu of flowers, a donation box will be available at the service for donations to the Hawkes Bay St John Ambulance Service. A tribute to Don or messages for his family can be left via www.dunstalls.co.nz or C/- PO Box 1055, Napier 4140.
