Donald LINDALE Obituary

LINDALE,
Donald Leslie (Don): F.C.A.
4th December 1938 –
12th January 2021
Dear Satchmo,
We are so sorry, your greatest fan has gone. He's left this wonderful world and when we think to ourselves we remember his life was like a song, he found a dream, the skies are blue and his heart is wrapped in clover. Our gadget man has gone, the best man, mate, son, husband, brother, father, grandad and great-grandad, musician, intellectual and number crunching nerd. His days are over and he's back with his love at 'last'. So, so sad to see him go. Don passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at Waikato Hospital on 12th January after a brief illness. He will be forever missed by all the Lindale Clan.

We met through Toastmasters back in the 80s, when you were President of the Waikato Chamber of Commerce, board member of Tourism Waikato and in many other capacities. An amazing contributor to the community and I never met you without a smile on your face. Will be missed.

Don was a regular requester to RNZ's Saturday Night Requests asking for jazz numbers. He always mentioned his late wife Carol and occasionally posted photos. He will be missed by his SNR family. RIP Don
