You don't meet many exceptional people, but Dee you were a star. An absolute privilege. Many thanks.

My sincere condolences to the family. I live in the same complex as Deidre. We kept in touch mostly by email, often several times daily, with the occasional chat in person, as she passed by on her way to the mall. She was an intelligent, brave and special woman who I respected and valued greatly. Her presence will be sadly missed. RIP Deidre. Aroha always. Jan Barna.

I am very sad to hear about Dee. She was such a vital person, and did her utmost to stay on top of life after the awful crash that deprived her of much of her freedom. I remember her as a beautiful warm and engaging teenager with a smile that lit the room.
Sincere condolences to all the Mackay family.
Rest in peace, Dee.

Deidre was, in my best memories, full of joy. Events in life can hit hard and she was dealt a real blow when the accident happened. I'll post a photo from 1976 in the infamous Braithwaite flat I shared with Jock (Charlie). That beaming smile stays imprinted in the memory and that's how I'll remember her.
Sincere condolences, love and regards to all the family.
